Alfacalcidol

Alfacalcidol is a white crystalline or crystalline powder, insoluble in water and hexane, but soluble in methanol, anhydrous ethanol, chloroform, dichloromethane, acetone or ether. It is easy to deteriorate when exposed to air and light. It is used to treat osteoporosis, chronic renal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, anti vitamin D rickets and osteomalacia.
