Appearance:

White or light brown acicular. Exposed to light and air or in contact with iron, it turns pink and sweet. Soluble in water, ethanol, pentanol, easily soluble in ether, glycerol, slightly soluble in chloroform, carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in benzene.

Application:

It is mainly used in rubber adhesives, plastics, synthetic resins, synthetic fibers, dyes, preservatives, antipruritic, antifungal agents, analytical reagents, as well as in the treatment of tinea, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne and psoriasis.
