L-Histidine hydrochloride monohydrate

White crystal or crystalline powder. Odorless. Slightly sour and bitter. It is stable in nature. It is easily soluble in water (39G / 100mL, 24 ℃), and its solubility in water is much higher than that of L-histidine. Insoluble in ethanol and ether.

Nutritional supplements. It is a quasi essential amino acid with slow synthesis speed in human body.

It is used for fortified food for infants and patients after surgery.

The precursor of histamine is the byproduct of lysine separation from defatted soybean hydrolysate by histidine decarboxylase.
