Colorless and tasteless crystal, can be weathered in the air, flammable. Soluble in water and ether, slightly soluble in ethanol. The melting point of sodium acetate trihydrate is 58 ℃, the relative density is 1.45, and the spontaneous combustion point is 607.2 ℃. Three molecules of water were removed at 123 ℃. The melting point of anhydrous sodium acetate is 324 ℃ and the relative density is 1.528.


Application:


It is used for esterification of organic synthesis, photographic medicine, medicine, printing and dyeing mordant, buffer, chemical reagent, meat antisepsis, pigment, tanning and many other aspects.


It can be used to produce various chemical products, such as furan acrylic acid, acetate and chloroacetic acid.
